A few weeKs ago, Big Mike showed me a nice spot with a waterfall. My wife loves waterfalls so I figured she and my daughter would enjoy it.

I also got a new knife recently so I figured I'ld play with that.

It was about a 2 mile hike to the waterfall, so I figured the wifey and daughter would like some hot cocoa when we got there. No stove here, so fire was needed.

We had alot of rain lately, so I figured the knife would get a good work out batoning, but the last day and a half of bright sun dried everything really well.
I found some birch bark and plenty of dead hemlock twigs for the fire.

While waiting for the water to boil I figured I would beat the crap out of the Fiddleback Bushcraft senior.

My daughter kept trying to help, so I didn't play long. The knife performed excellent at the tasks I gave it.

More coming

The family was waiting patiently.

Then they got what they were waiting for.

This was the FiddlleBack Bushy that Andy called a bunk. Yeah it's not his prettiest work, but it still feels great in hand and sharp as hell. It was a pleasure to use, I wish I had more time to beat the crap out of it.

What more could you ask for ... 2 beautiful ladies , waterfalls and a new knife to play with ..... that's the life man !

Great pics- thanks for sharing them! I really gotta pick up a FiddleBack knife one of these days soon. They're really looking good!

Nice photos Tony  Looks like a good time was had by all.
You've got a great-looking family. The knife ain't bad either :D

KuRUpTD honestly took the words out of my mouth, although I was somewhat more envious :o

Great seeing you use the Guyot, GS. That is my new method of cooking. I don't know if you saw my post in the thread about the Sterno, but it might be of interest to you, as well.

Thanks for the kind words fellas.

Great photos tony. Now you better re-vote on the baton thread :)

I voted  Just because sometimes there is no need to baton, doesn't mean I won't baton:D
