Is there a Certificate of Authenticity with that knife?

If your problem is out of warranty, I hear it's hell. But even if it's covered, you usually want to wait a while before cashing in. (Edit: that's a God joke, not a real comment on Buck service)

OH! Bob! Ye of little faith! The seller said the knife was made in the U.S., and by whom it was made! And we know sellers never exagerate, as evidenced by the "Schrade Sterile Commando Knife" I just bought! Talk about a knife with a history behind it!

Guys, I really thought the creative writing was a stroke of genius, and would have attracted higher bidders. I was prepared for them. I needed the SG7S to go with my SG7, SG8, and 8ELK. Now, if I can just happen on the Ruger edition, or one marked Secret Service, Homeland Security, BATF, or New Orleans PD.......
