My new Fiddleback Karda arrived today and boy is this thing sweet:thumbup: I haven't had a chance to test it or take pictures yet, but I can tell that it is sharp. The profile is slimmer than my BLJ, though the handle profile is similar. It is the Orange handled piece shown here. I can already tell I'm going to love this new blade. Stay tuned for pics as well as my attempts to make a kydex sheath for it! I expect to get some glamour shots as well as some light use pics tomorrow, assuming my Daddy Daycare responsibilities allow it:rolleyes:

Man! You take good pics!

I promise they'll be decent IF the sun is out:rolleyes: I can't wait to put that blade to some wood:thumbup:

If you're reading this but missed the original post, this is a new, cheaper model Andy just ground out. They're cheaper from a price perspective, but the Fiddleback fit and finish we've come to expect is still there. I'm honestly no sure how Andy has managed to pull these off at this price!

Not very much contour on the handle. My handles take a long time. This one is just rounded.

That is a good piece of steel for the value. I'm anxiously awaiting my first..a BLJ!

Should be there any day now too!!! That EIRW is going to make you all romantic feeling!

Despite Daddy Daycare responsibilities, I managed to make it outside earlier today to snap some pics. First, a few glamour shots.

I didn't have enough time to give it a real workout, but I did whip up a quick fuzz stick. The edge on this thing is incredible. It felt like it wanted to bite deep into the wood with little effort.

I cannot wait to use this little blade some more. The handle is quite comfortable despite the lack of contouring on this "budget" model. After using it a little bit today, I refuse to use the word "cheap" to describe anything about this knife. It might be "low-cost", "economical" or a "budget" model, but "cheap" it is not!

Andy your making some fine blades there, congrats on a fine knife JC. -
Looks great.
