Depating on whether I should paracord wrap this handle, let me know what you think.
Blatant copy of one of Fuad Accawi AUK line.
Really trying to work on my hamons, I think they are getting better

Just a machined in integral guard. Just me playing with my milling machine really.

I just now realized I should have taken my plunge right up to the cutout like on my other knife. Live and learn, Ill probably now take it to the milling machine and cut off that guard.

Nice blade Chris, with that design there are lots of possibilites for handles, wrap would be nice with the present contour, or with a more rounded butt pinned scales would be nice. Good looking hamon.

I would have but had already rounded all the edges, so a glue up of micarta would have shown gaps.

I fixed up the guard today and did a 550 cord wrap. She looks good and no worse for the wear. It ended up only taking a few mins on the grinder with a fresh 50 grit belt.

Nice looking knife Chris! Maybe I should make an AUK out of a file myself. Nice hamon too. On mine I take the edge to the back of the gap though.

I'd love to see a picture with the paracord wrap - I bet it looks great!

i think a nice paracord wrap would look great on it. i like the hamon and the blade shape, you know what i like the whole thing!

Mr. Accawi
Thanks so much for the compliment, Your work and site has provided much inspiration for myself and for that I thank you.
Yes I agree I think that the Auk line made out of a file would be pretty sweet. Oh and thanks for the heads up on where you stop the plunge, I had missed that.
Ok for the others I finally got a few shots of it after it was all finished. Thanks for the compliments everyone.
Oh and the bottom photo is of this knifes twin brother, I tend to make two of everything in case I give one away.

Both knives look great, good job on the hamon!

Great job man, with the paracord it's better looking and for sure more confortable to handle.
But also naked it's quite nice and the hamon is great. Thanks for showing

Chris,
When I see someone who loves making knives, and is inspired by something I made -that is truly a great feeling. Acknowledging a maker is good for everyone- I have had some pretty bad experiences to the contrary lately. Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Fuad
