Does anyone make a quality, reliable .22 pocket pistol? I know Walther did, don`t know if they still do. I really wish Ruger would offer their LCP in .22.

Seecamp makes a very high quality pocket pistol (may very well have been the design inspiration for the LCP, as a matter of fact), but I think .32 is as low as they go....

North American Arms has some so small it's hard not to laugh at first sight. My dad has one of their .22 mags, pretty fun!

I have a Taurus PT22 with a tip up barrel. I believe it is a copy of the Beretta design. Not a bad little pocket .22.

The Ruger SR22 is a fantastic pistol. 10rd auto. Mine has thousands of rounds though it and I have never had a failure. It is very inexpensive (as 22s go) and very reliable. I've had time to run the sig mosquito and the SR22 stands out as the winner by far.

I just recently picked up one of the new NAA sidewinder 22mag. It's awesome. So easy to load compared to the older ones. You can buy them with change out cylinders so 22 lr and 22 mag.

bobcat was the first thing that came to mind for me as well. (and the tomcat in .32)

Good to know about the SR22 J,too bad it's just a bit big for pocket carry.
I love Ruger guns!!

What are you using it for? Just pocket carry? Why a .22? If you're looking for a plinker I love my Walther P22. I bought my Girlfriend a Sig Mosquito ( yeah... it's pink). It feels great but it's pretty picky on ammo. Oh, I've got a Walther P22 I may let go...

I was just curious what`s available, can`t buy anything anyway. Why a .22? Cheap to shoot.

I've had a Beretta 21A for years and I love it. I've never had any issues with it and it is surprisingly accurate. I carry mine it a pocket holster where it rides very comfortably.

Don't laugh,but I had a Jennings J-22.(actually 2 at different times)
I guess I was lucky, but I never had a problem with either one being the cheap pistols they were.

A home owner up here killed an intruder with one a while back too.
Many will disagree, but as long as you can shoot it accurately the 22s are suitable for close range urban defense and much better than a .25 IMO.(And much cheaper to practice with.)

John, the Beretta 70S was a stone reliable choice when they made them. A bit big for calling a pocket pistol perhaps but you actually could hit tin cans at 20 yards with them and they functioned well with most ammo. We shied away from handling most of the small 22 autos back at the old gun shop due to reliability issues. It seems that everything smaller than The Beretta 70 (PPK) size has function, feed &.or reliability problems. Even the little Walther TPH But the little Walther was the nuts when they worked! You could get old school /retro & pick up a S&W Escort fairly cheap, they sometimes worked! Want a small handgun in 22LR that always works.... S&W Kit Gun. High Standard Sentinel or Charter Arms Pathfinder ( DA Revolvers) all are or were made in 2" Or, I could fit A Ruger Bearcat in my Larger pockets! Leave the little bitty pocket guns to 25Acp or 22 short.

I'm thinking probably the Tomcat. I haven't really spent much time with micro-sized .22lrs so I can't say much beyond that.

I carried my S&W 351C on a short hike this morning, hardly noticed the weight of it in my pocket.
