Hello All,
This Saturday and Sunday, March 3rd and 4th, the Riverland Knife Collectors Club will hold their 10th annual knife show. It is a smaller show, about 50 tables, but a nice little gathering nonetheless. I was informed that there will be a forging demonstration on Saturday, but I don't know any details about it. There is a banquet, auction, and awards presentation on Sat. night at the Dinner Bell Hotel and Restaurant in Dunnellon right on Highway 41. You should be able to sign up for the banquet early Sat morning without too much hassle. I don't remember the cost of this.
Admission for the show is $2.00 per person, with NKCA members and children under 12 being free of charge.
It is being held at the American Legion Hall on Highway 41 1/2 mile North of Dunnellon itself. Hours are 9 to 5 on Sat and 9 to 3 on Sun. Dunnellon is approx. 90 miles North of Tampa/St. Pete. Less than 20 miles West/Southwest of Ocala. And about 50 miles Southwest of Gainesville.
Again, not a big show, but a nice little group of people that enjoy knives and are fun to chat with. Take care and have fun.
