Do you own more than one pair of your outdoor boots for different types of seasons? Ones for winter vs. ones for summer vs. ones for fall (when it's wet).

Thanks.

I wear Tony Lama boots to knock around in and Danner boots for serious back country work.

My friends nicknamed me "Imelda". I have way too many.

Asolos for summer and Meindls for winter probably get the most use.

I have 2 pairs of boots, but more for different terrain. I keep a lighter weight pair for easier terrain, and a heavier pair for mountain use.

One pair for winter season mountaineering leather boots which is capable of putting crampons on, and several pairs for other seasons.
Actually those for non-winter are not boots but shoes. Among them Five-ten's C4 rubber sole shoes is my favorite.

I get by with just one pair, my Bates 30501s. I've worn them in all seasons, rain and shine, bush and mountain, and they've done just fine. However, everyone's got their own preferences.

I keep a winter boot (right now Meindle perfekt hunters) and a three season hiking shoe (right now Merrell moab mid XCRs). Two pairs cover just about everything I do outside of work.

I own about 10 pairs of boots. Around 5 pairs are tactical outdoor types, and the others are cowboys boots, all different styles and types.

It's supposedly not really good for foot health [Is that a real term?] to wear the same pair of boots daily. That's why you get/got 2 pair of issue combat boots in basic training. We were told they need to dry out well between wearings. I've gone along with that for 35+years and my boots seem to last a lot longer than my friends boots that wear the same pair every day.Doh! That makes sense since they're getting half the wear:o.--KV

I've got two pair of Danner Elk hunter boots. One insulated, one uninsulated. Honestly, unless I'm on stand hunting or it's very cold, the uninsulated work well in moderately cold weather.

I have three pairs
Haix airpower jungle for daily wear.
Danner rainforest for higher elevations and rocks.Above treeline conditions.Tough ass boots.
Merrill Moab for farting around in the swamp, kayak or fishing.. Those are glorified high top tennis shoes, more or less. Don't toss a 50 lb pack on with them.

I too have three pair. Some old redwings for warm weather, or riding.

Scarpa hiking boots. They have all leather uppers and a 3/4 kevlar shank. I tend t use these on backpacking or hunting trips, especially those that take me above treeline.

I also have some winter boots, my Sorels get used the most.

YES.

Different boots for different conditions.

From insulated high tops for deep snow,

…waterproof boots for long days in the mud,

…to short open mesh boots for the hottest days.

I have been known to wear three sets of boots in a single day if the situation allows,

…cold weather hikers for that early morning hike with the dogs,

…steel toe work boot for the job-site,

…regular hiking boots might be the choice for a late day hike with Tony and Marcelo.

The right boot for the conditions/terrain is important to my comfort in the field.

Moisture management is also key in warmer weather, I often carry extra socks.

I also break-in new boots on short hikes, and save my best fitting pairs for longer outings.
