Hi,

Is there a difference between the Frost Moras that Ragnar sells on his site and the Frost knives you guys dislike so much? Are they the same company or not? I'm interested in getting a #S-1 laminated one.

Sometimes it gets a little confusing for a newbie like me.:o

Thanks,
dalee

First of all, welcome!:)

Frosts of Sweeden is not affiliated with frosts knives. FoS makes high quality tools that are meant for use not safe queening. Get one or two or half a dozen. I am sure you will be pleased!

It's impossible to tell the difference when the spelling is so messed up. :D

From www.ragweedforge.com

Until recently there were two remaining large companines in Mora, KJ Eriksson and Frosts of Mora. They have merged into "Mora of Sweden", but some stock is marked with the previous names.

So Frosts is the knife from Sweden.
Frost is the knife, um, of indeterminate quality.

Hi,

Thank You Guys. I've developed an interest in regional knives and the Moras have caught my eye. It's just sometimes hard to follow the genealogy of brands these days.

Ragnar is going to get more of my money I guess!!

I think it's Frost Cutlery that's the guilty culprit of ill-repute. I have a "Grizzly Skinner" that was a gift from an in-law. It's made of "sugical steel" and, Frost or not, it's a very nice knife.

frost has been around for years, they sell china made knives and swords in big quantity's on qvc, basically junk.
