I just had a sheath made for my Marbles Fieldcraft by Gary Graley. I have had one done before through him and thought that nothing could beat it, but the sheath he made for my Fieldcraft definitely did. I think he is one of the best makers out there today and his prices are more than reasonable. You definitely get your moneys worth. He made an excellent vertical sheath with a button clasp exactly to my specifications, that fits my knife perfectly. He is defiantly an artist. I recommend him for any leather work you need done!!! He is a great person to work with and my knife has never been sharper thanks to him. A true craftsman!!!
THANK YOU!!!

A glowing post, thank you very much! I gather that the knife/sheath arrived safely!

I'm stepping back from the fixed bladed arena as far as sheath work goes, and focusing on the folders as I like them more. And yes, take care as that knife did take a nice edge! Very sharp, I didn't have a tool to tighten your handle, but you might want to see if you can get one and then locktite it so it doesn't come loose on you.

Thanks again

Wow, he is defiantly an artist? That's interesting. BTW, I've heard "The road to Hell is paved..." before, but I don't know who said it. Who was it?

Howie, an Artist? hmmm lets just say that I like making sheaths and leave it at that

There are many many others that I really aspire to be able to make as well as them, but with regular work and a wife and three kids and this nasty habit of collecting knives, time really does go fast....

As to the quote? Well, before I was saved, before I entered the Navy in 1972, my best friends Mom seemed to always quote that to me and it has always echoed in my little brain and so I chose it for my signature to get others to start thinking of their time spent as well. Also I just finished reading a series of books called Left Behind Series, a Christian series, worth reading by the way. So that's the story on my quote....sorry I can't remember who she heard it from but maybe someone out there knows of the person who came up with it?

After re-reading Howie's post I think Joe meant Definitely and not defiantly, though my wife might argue with you on that point....

I've heard the quote attributed to James Boswell (1740 - 1795), author of "Life of Samuel Johnson," though it was originally "Hell is paved with good intentions."

Another version I read was supposedly a Portuguese proverb, which went something like "Hell is paved with good intentions and roofed in with lost opportunities."

I don't know who added the part about the road, but it seems to fit.
