I was inspired by all the home grown satin jobs and polls about stripping and felt the itch to strip one myself.

I don't have a lot of coated blades and I definitely will not strip an old straight handle Busse.

So, that left my favorite user, the Basic 11. I carefully stripped the coating and threw it on a scotch brite wheel and voila, it is clean. :D;)

The INFI dimples weren't too bad at the ricaso so it took a decent satin as well. I left the edge as it came from the factory.

I'm very pleased with how this one turned out. Thanks for looking everyone! :)

Great job  Looks like it was meant to be that way. And it was not necessary to remove the scales, I guess... ;)

That looks great! Definitely an improvement IMO. Good move with the scotch brite wheel :-)

Bangarang! That's a sick satin finish. I think stripping can be contagious, as it seems to be spreading at an alarming rate!:D
