Bug Out - Williams, Scott B

Description
Escaping a doomed city during the first 72 hours of a crisis can make the difference between life and death. The tragic lesson of Hurricane Katrina applies to any large-scale crisis: Don''t hope to wait it out or expect the government to bail you out -- just get out. Since natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and civil unrest may be unavoidable, "Bug Out" includes all the information needed to guarantee an orderly and safe escape with nothing forgotten or left behind, providing readers with a comprehensive advance plan for fleeing their home in 15 minutes or less. From preparing supplies for three days of wilderness living to mapping out an escape route to a remote location, this book turns the ordinary urban-dwelling American into a savvy survivalist. "Bug Out" also includes vital strategies for saving pets and household valuables as well as advice on overcoming pitfalls (like road or gas station closures) that could delay or even prevent one’s escape.

Pretty good book, with some key points :D add another to my collection, highlighted section made me laugh but still worth the $$

Thanks for the heads up.

I'm just about done reading The Adventurist. Time for some new reading material.

I read that a few weeks ago, very interesting stuff. I liked the quick run downs of the various peices of land across the country that could be used to live in that he put together for the second half of the book.

Bug Out is a great book - Scott is working on another book now regarding what allows some people to survive when others perish in similar circumstance... looks interesting.

My book list keeps growing and growing.
