Just so everyone doesn't think I just get new and fancy Bucks, here's one I picked up awhile back. I've always liked the style, my first "real knife" was a Case of the same pattern. This one is near mint to my eye.

I said I was finally back in the mood to post pictures. :D

Very Nice...

Is that what they call the 317, Trailblazer? Great looking sheath too, did Jack Rudder make it?
Mike

You're correct, it's a 317. The sheath isn't one of Jacks. It's by a company called Dale Pack Station. They make mostly pack harness's for horses and mules, but they also make a few sheaths. I have about three of them, some have a flap over and some are like this one.

I particularly like the way the belt loop is angled so that the sheath tips forward. It's very comfortable to wear that way.

Thanks for the info, very nice sheath. I see they're up in Yakima, Wa., I've spent some in Yakima, years ago, visiting a brother who now lives here in CA.
Thanks again, Mike

Good old western style leather working. There was also a place in Pendleton, Oregon that made custom leather goods in the western style, from boots to belts and tack to sheaths. Very high quality. Hamley's was the company, but they closed a number of years ago.

Nice Knife as always Plum, I didnt think you did any slippies-thanks for sharing

By peeking around secondary blade, it is the last variation made of about 6. mid80s to 89 discontinued. This is the car-cuss for the current modification specials. 300

Actually, I have probably 25 to 30 slippies. I particularly like the 700 series. I guess I just haven't taken pictures of most of them. I do have one David Yellowhorse 314 trapper that's beautiful.

My blow, shoulda known better;)

I like that 317 sheath.

Often hard to find a good leather worker these days. Good to know there is another one out there.
