Not quite sure how that one little part along the spine got hardened, but i love this weird little double hamon. I finished to 1500 grit, 6X etch and rub, then this is lightly sanded with some 3500 paper....looks amazing in person, can't quite get it on film....

Hope no one minds these little progress pics....i love seeing works in progress as much as finished ones!

Any idea how that one "D" shaped spot spot remained hardened between the lines? i would love to figure it out and try to manipulate that part to be a full or longer line running along my second quench line.
