Another happy Heat owner

Finally pulled the trigger on Heat with a combo blade and just wanted to share my satisfaction. Excellent knife for the $$. Let's hope Camillus stays in business to keep produciing this and other quality blades.
 
Well, I was all ready to drop $160+ on a Dominator (the lure of a frame lock and Ti handles), but decided that since the Heat had the same blade design and length (but not steel) I'd just do with it. It may not last as long, but by the time it wears out or breaks, some new blade will have caught my eye.
 
I have a few heats, a sizzle and a blaze....they heat fits the hand best and I got them for very good prices so they really are great for the money.... ( heat $38, siz $29, Blaze $31)

I feel about the same. The Dominator is a great knife, but just too expensive, I would hesitate to actually use it. I have a Heat and have been very happy with it. The assisted openning is the fastest that I have handled, and the knife has been very durable. Can't really complain about the blade steel either. AUS-8 is a good compromise. It holds an edge reasonably well while still being easy to sharpen. Enjoy it.

I found a solution to that: traded into a well-used Dominator from a guy on here, so I don't have any reason to baby it! :D

I started with a Heat, and love the thing. I think it's a highly underrated knife, and an excellent value for the money.
 
The only thing that took the heat out of my pocket is the Maxx :)

Both are great. Once you have the Maxx, the Heat feels so light.
Still, great knife for the price.


Last time I had it in my pocket, I realized I forgot a hair while shaving that morning. So I finished the job with the heat :)
 
I got a Heat for my birthday this month, (present from my wife). It was what I had requested. I first really noticed it when I was in a Sportsman Warehouse and the salesman opened a package with one. I asked to see it and fell in love with it. Great knife. :D
