I purchased this knife as a two knife set. It came with a 15'' AK Bowie by Lachu as I recall and as a side note it's awesome, that 15"er.
This is the first Micro Bowie IBBB that Anil produced. I was anxious to get it to see his interpretation of Bhakta's fine work. He did awesome.
Originally the handle was long and very slender. The tang at the lanyard hole was almost zero. I put some zebra wood on it making the handles removable as a concept piece. It looked good but didn't sing, also the removable concept didn't carry a tune with me either.
Anyhow it's been a setting here for months and months. Santa brought me the R6 as you may recall and I made an attempt at hanging Elk antler on it but failed miserably. Just didn't fit right, too much handle for the knife size.
Well the idea struck me to attempt to hang that antler on this Anil IBBB.
Then a second idea (two ideas in one day for this kid is right up there with parting the waters) struck me. AUCTION with proceeds going to Auntie for whatever purpose she deems best................................................
So a picture before you change the channel.

I added a guard and shortened the tang to fit the piece of antler which worked out quite nicely. It feels pretty decent in my average size hands. A person with big mitts might find it smallish but I think most people want more handle than they really need.

Anils kami mark and a close up of the guard.

The other side.

Top view, tang exposed.

Bottom view, tang buried.

For those who keep track of such things, this IBBB is 9.2 ounces and measures 8 1/4'' overall. Handy little size.
So once again here is the deal. This will be out in the open auction, post your bid here as a post. Anyone who knows me knows I love Stag, so it will be painful to put this one in a box and send it away.
We'll go until noon again next Sunday. No 5 minute rule, time stamp on the post is the final judgement. So "High Noon" it is.
But wait! That's not all, not by a durn long shot.
Our very own Pugs, the master leather bender and arch enemy to all things Beaver has offered to provide custom sheath for this bowie as well.
Now to be clear Beavers hate him but it may not be a Beaver sheath. No false advertising here. I sent him a picture after his offer and he can make a sheath that will make you cry for it, no problem.
So in summary, we have a wicked cool knife, in a wicked cool sheath (the stock sheath still works fyi) and all the loot goes to help Aunties/Our people in Nepal and their families. Win, win, win.
What say we start the bidding on this one at 75 bucks?
Once the auction is over, I will send the knife directly to Pugs who will build the sheath and then send to the lucky winner.
Let the games begin.
