same hike as usual, different knife:

i needed a chopper and decided to give the FBM another try, since i have a belt sander now i could mod the handle more to my liking. basically just took the swell on the top down. not quite flat, but significantly more comfortable, especially when holding it all the way back.

Great pictures! Are you taking home the stump from the last picture? :D
The knife looks like a toothpick on top of that one

Great pics Silverdragon. Thanks for posting. Pics of gorgeous scenary and knives are my favorites.

I wish I lived closer to mountains. :(

But, how can you say it is hot when you have all that snow still around??????

It is in the mid-90's here near Houston today. :barf: ... Heck, it is near midnight and STILL in the upper to mid 70's.

One of the BAD things about Houston is not cooling off even at night. In another month or so, we will have most nights stay in the mid-80's :barf: :barf: :(

.

Thanks for the pics. Looks like an awesome place to be!

And that waterhole looks like it's beggin' for a fly rod.

Ok so I am a little more than jealous of where your at. Very nice pictures and some good blade action going on there. Cant wait to get out west this Fall!

Yeah.... If you think being surrounded by snow is "HOT", you ARE GOING TO DIE!

I assume it was above freezing. I have seen snow on the ground and temps still get into the upper 50's or so. But, that is COLD here in Texas. ;)

I actually like San Antonio pretty well. But, I prefer Austin the most.

Houston has it's good things, but the humidity is MUCH worse in Houston than San Antonio or Austin. It get's just as hot or hotter during the day in central Texas, but the humidity is lower and doesn't feel as sticky.

At least San Antonio and Austin cool off a bit better at night.

But, your area of the world is GORGEOUS.

Good luck with REAL HEAT at Basic.

Great pics and perfect scenery for a BM. I take it you're not one of these micro-weight outdoors guys.
