Another Hog slaughtered at the trough... We were out this morning, no deer but a buddy of mine got this one w/his bow:

I envy you being close to the hogs.

When I lived in East Tennessee (polluted with Russian Boar,) I spent all of my free time whitewater kayaking. That was seven years ago and pre-kids. Now, in MO, the hogs are here, at least down toward the Ozarks, but they are still few and far between compared to the area around the Smokies.

yep. we wanted the tusks and thought we'd save the battle mistress from all that bone. used the rd hawk instead.

Same question, WHY LEAVE TEXAS!!!!

Because, despite its reputation as the last bastion of freedom, it is still over-restricted in comparison with the inter-mountain West in terms of personal liberty and individual rights.

Rick - who went to college in San Antonio and has family all over that silly state but is quite happy in Idaho, thank you very much

Are you REALLY that jealous of TEXAS, LOL, was just trying to have some fun. I would not mind checking out the Northwest,-------something that is not flat, plus I actually like seeing snow somtimes. Still though, you have to admit, the best snow skiing is still in Texas-right!!

And to let you know--only small parts of our state are silly.

JEALOUS!!! i have been wanting to bag a hog for a while. a friend introduced me to the idea of hunting and i cant wait to go again. nice kill!!

Perhaps "silly" was ill-chosen. There are parts of Texas that I love: Big Bend, the Hill Country, Weatherford (long story, but an Uncle lived there and I spent some of the best summers of my life on his ranch outside WXFD). But, the DFW and Houston areas are nightmares and Austin is kookier than Boulder, CO without the charms of the mountains.

Getting us back on topic:

OTOH, there isn't much of a wild pig season here in Idaho. I know SC had essentially an open season. Is it like that elsewhere? Good practice for the real thing....

Nice shot...back a few inches and he would have hit him in the a$$...
Maybe he should try a rifle.

Agreed

The lady, food and party is where the charm is ;) :D

Getting us back on topic again: xaman, great hunting and great pic, thanks for sharing
