I used a hand setter with 1/4'' eyelet's from knifekits.com.
Just mark,then drill 1/4 holes and use setter punch that's it.

Thanks,it was done with a mustard/citric acid concoction,then covered
with a textured paper towel.I did this over until I got the design I
wanted.Then washed and dried,finally finished with a 2000 grid sand
paper for a shiney finish.If you look closely, The designs are etched into
the metal.
