I've just joined, and I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I'd like to get a busse. I've been on a few other forums, and the mightiest knives seem to be here.
I've done a little homework, and I think the Badger LE would be a great knife to start with. I kind of want a knife with some serrations because this is going to be an allaround utility knife, but it doesn't seem like I can get a double edged busse or a busse with a sawback at a decent price.
I'm also into customs, especially folders.
Any other suggestions.

If you're pondering a BATACLE, I suggest that you snag one now while the snagging is good. Given the ability to chop, pry, and whack, the lack of serrations may go unnoticed. Anyway, they're $397 a pop at the Busse Company Store, at least as I write this. It's listed on Page 4 after clicking on the "Order Here" link: http://www.bussecompanystore.com/

You might want to keep an eye out for one of these, from last year's BLADE West Left Overganzaaaa:

# 3 Satin Jack Variant. (Pic below)

I have one that I like a whole lot. And yes, those are functional serrations.

I saw one on the exchange recently (or something pretty close, anyway) for a pretty reasonable price (although I'm sure it's gone by now). Pretty close to its original issue price of $397, IIRC.

Edited to add: There it is. Sold for a mere twenty bucks over the original cost. When you figure in shipping, the seller probably lost a couple bucks on the deal.

Just checked the BCS site posted above. You can get that BATAC LE right now for the cheapest possible price -- $397, from the inimitable Skunk.

Don't wait.

Don't think about it.

Just do it.

I did -- and I'm happy. :D

Sounds like a liar more than anything else.

Ok... I only joked about WM, err Canaan giving away all his INFI when he reached 10,000 posts... LOL ...He didn't have to take me seriously! :D

The BATAC LE is real thick for a knife of that size, though. Really, really thick. In my most humble opinion, the regular BATAC is much more practical in thickness, and even that feels like a heavy knife for its size. And has anyone here ever broken their regular thickness BATAC? It's plenty strong enough at the standard thickness. :D

But that said, the LE is an LE, and the price is probably only going to go up... so if one wants the BATAC LE, this is likely the best time to get one straight from your friendly neighbourhood Skunk. :)

Ok..who in the blue blazes is skunk?? LOL I keep reading references to buying from him. :D

Could a mod please lock this thread? The original poster has been banned and further postings to this thread will not address the original poster's question, if he can even see them to begin with.

I recommend one of these in reference to the OP's question... If anyone else is curious. :D:D
