Loving the S110 v in the couple of Spydies I've picked up. And the Blurple G-10 sort of grows on you.

I would love to see this combination in one of my favorite G-10 handled Spydies.

The Large Lum Chinese. This has sneakily become my go to edc for around the house food prep sort of chores - s110 would make it an excellent slicer.

I don't believe they were made in Golden, is that automatically a deal killer?

So, if not the Lum, then a Manix2 XL -

(This is me waiting patiently)

No, but the fact they're made in Japan probably is. Spyderco's maker in Taichung, Taiwan has proven willing and able to work with just about any steel and I suspect the same would be true for one or more of their Italian makers. However, at least up to now, the good folks in Japan have been reluctant to work with any steel made outside their own country.

Well aware of that. I don't care for peel ply cf and they are commanding a price higher than what a production s110v version will go for. Also, I have many knives in both steels and while they are certainly in the same class I can tell a difference. I don't prefer one over the other though. I am patient. I have plenty of knives and more time than money. Next year is fine by me. :)

like you said, this blurple color G10 seems to grow on you!i have a couple of knifes in the S110V and just loving this steel,i really have my eye on the native 5/S110V/blurple!and it is vary well priced!if you don't mind its size,i like it because it fits inside my coin pocket nicely,i think this blurple G10 in only coming out of golden colorado though!would be grate to see a lum made, nice idea.
