I really like this:

But the website that I found it on has a reputation for selling knives that.... let's say a lot of the knives they sell include ethical problems.

So, before I try to talk myself into buying this (it ain't cheap!), I would like to know if it is... "paying homage" to a custom knife or a mid-tech, that was first built in a country where Mandarin isn't spoken by so many people.

Thanks in advance.

I think you already know the answer to this.

The real question you must ask yourself is: Even if it is not "paying homage" to an earlier design and happens to be an original, are you comfortable dropping a lot of money on a knife from a website who's "knives they sell include ethical problems". Who's to say you'll actually get the materials that they say?

I must also add that the brand that this knife is labeled under does have other models that are actual COUNTERFEITS. Yes, not copies or homages actual counterfeits.

If these things don't matter to you then feel free to talk yourself into it.

Edit: I got to ask, why would a knife enthusiast even peruse that site?

It's part of my community service. I don't wanna talk about it.

You guys are right, though. Any purchase from... these folks... is supporting the counterfeit industry.
