I think I may have gone too far.

My 3rd Sebenza is incoming in as many weeks. My wife is going to kill me.

After reading the Spirograph was being discontinued, and still not having a large Sebenza, I pulled the trigger on this.

I hope it is even more beautiful in the metal than it looks in the pics.

That looks great. I have been debating on wether to buy that or not for the past 3 weeks. The only reason why I have not pulled the trigger is because it's a large. Nothig wrong with that, but I find myself carrying a small sebenza or Mnandi more and more.

Gee ... I was looking at that one as well. Congrats! In the end, I decided on a different one in the spirograph damascus. But, am not saying which .... until I post the pics when it arrives ... hopefully by the beginning of the month!

No Such thing in Chris Reeve land :D

At least you'd go with a smile on your face, said tongue in cheek :D

Good call!

Thanks everyone. I'm glad no one else bought it, because I went back and forth a few times on it before I said yes. I would have hated to have it gone by the time I decided yes.

I don't have a large, and I thought the large has a bigger blade, so more damascus to enjoy! Maybe I will keep the large damascus thing going. I guess I should have at least one large, or how will I know my preference for the small!

I should mention I edc a small micarta 21. I don't think this will be an EDC at nearly $800... to afraid to wreck it. Once in a blue moon I will take it out, mostly a safe queen!

I feel you! That's the most frustrating thing. Should I or shouldn't I. I like it ... but not quite sure yet. Meanwhile, while trying to put everything in perspective and make a sound decision ... it gets snapped up by someone who says "I want it and I want it now!!!" It has happened to me with the first couple I was trying to make a decision on. Now ... if I see one, can afford it, and like it .... I just do it. I mentioned earlier that I had been looking at that one as well as another one. Had I deliberated any longer (and had not decided on the other one) .... I would have been kicking myself when you posted the picture of what is incoming! Hope yours (and mine) arrive soon. Travis prepared the shipping info on mine and I have a tracking number .... but don't really expect it before the end of the month or beginning of June. Enjoy!

That a beauty Justin. I feel your pain about the cash outlay but that's no plain jane man ya got there. That's a work of art. I would have hard time using it too but I'd have to brave the fear and use it sooner or later.

Tell your wife "it's an investment dear!" ;) :D

Once it gets here, let's see a pic. I can see by the archives what has sold though! Mine has a tracking number as well, should have left today.

Thank you very much River, czic & Manoel.

You betcha! Just like a parent with a new kid ... a gazillion pics are not quite enough!

I can't believe you'd buy an $800 knife to look at. Who buys a Z06 corvette to look at in their garage? (Just kidding, I totally understand! - However, I would fondel the scales off of it)

Great choice - congrats!
Please report if you like it as much when you unwrap it. It looks fantastic, especially nice pattern on the damascus, and the slab ain't bad either.
Also the colour of the logo is cool.

BTW thanks to all you guys and snapp a piece like this, allways helps with the decisions.

Well .... I got that gut wrenching feeling when I looked at the UPS site for an update on where the new Sebenza was! So .... there is an excellent chance YOU will be posting pics of your new one before I am. Why? Would you believe this .....

At least, they realized it after was put on the "local" delivery truck to be delivered ..... in Colorado .... not Pennsylvania!! That means an extra day of delivery time. Oh the agony!

Today is the 30th. Where's the new knife?

What a fail on the delivery! Mine is no where near me I fear. Tracking by USPS leaves something to be desired. Last I looked all it has done is float around in CO.

I bought a new knife that is a piece of artwork and a tribute to craftsmanship to look at and fondle, just never use on anything that could damage it.

I wouldn't buy a $800 knife JUST to look at, but I like to take care of my things. I have a couple watches in the $5000-$10000 price range, and they look mint still too. Sit on the winder much more often that on my wrist. But when I want to wear or simply admire them, they are there to be admired in a form worth admiring.

Besides, for tools made to beat on, you shop sensibly! That's why I have a small micarta sebenza for EDC, and my daily driver is a Chezy Cruze, while the weekend car was a BMW 135i but since were going to try for a baby, is now a X5. :)

Did you get it yet? Mine arrived today. Pics have already been posted. I like it, but as I indicated in another thread .... the colors were somewhat different than on the ES site. Fortunately, I am happy with them. Hopefully, if you don't already have it .... it will arrive soon. Anxious to see "your" pics of it!
