This is an almost new company (1997), near Prato (Florence).

Their site has an English section too, but it doesn't seem to work now.

I would be happy to know a little more about their knives and steel, and I am going to get in touch with them. I'll post something ASAP.

Interesting company. I don´t like the americanized tanto designs very much, but theirs are the first production knives I saw that used a "tigerstripe"/camo pattern blade coating. Thanks for the link!

I've been living in Italy for quite a while now, and so am always interested in "homegrown" industries. Too bad their web site isn't completely up and running yet.

Having a second look at Extrema Ratio knives, they don't seem an Italian design, but are definetely designed and made in Italy. A friend of mine gave me some infos, about they are targetting American market (or Italian people who like American knives). He says he doesn't like handles and sheats, but his ideas in these fields are uncommon.

My concern is about their steel N690 (in %):

Carbon 1.07
Chromium 17.00
Cobalt 1.50
Manganese 0.40
Molybdenum 1.10
Silicon 0.40
Vanadium 0.10

In another thread I read high Chromium values makes the blade "sticky" to resharpen and less edge holding. What are your opinion or experiences about an alloy like this? Are there any Cliff Stamp around here?;)
