Here's another great pocket sized blade from JK. This is the new style Last Resort Knife in O1. It's got a 2" cutting edge and an overall length of 4 3/4". The knife is very comfortable in the hand for being so small. I've added a short lanyard as a finger wrap for extra leverage.

John ships these with a kydex neck/pocket sheath, but I've been using a very slim profile leather sheath that came with my sharpening steel. It seems to be perfect for all my smaller "kit-type" knives. You don't notice the weight in your pocket even when trail running.

Finish work and edge grinds are just as good as any of my larger JK fixed blades. I'm a sucker for these small fixed blades, and this one is my new favorite.

Nice!!!!

John makes great tiny knives, doesn't he:thumbup:. I built a pocket/neck fire kit around my JK mini Nessmuck.

(sorta like how pitdog built a mini survival kit around his LRK)

I just got a neckmuk myself, I'd like to see your kit.

I like this one, especially for the size of it. I like the compact blades almost as much as I like big knives. Very nice

Mine isn't a neckmuck. It is even smaller, 4 1/8" OAL with a 1 1/2" blade.

Jute twine, fatwood, and tire tube

Then ranger banded with the tube, with Light my Fire Scout steel..

It isn't very big,and not as bulky as you would think (that is a Vic Hiker next to it). It is comfortable in my front or rear pocket.

Depending on the weather it should have enough fuel to start several fires.
