"Ahoy! Shaped like a snowhill...'tis Moby Dick!" Just thought it was somewhat appropriate. I suffer from a very dry sense of humor if you haven't noticed. Anyway, I spotted yet another khukuri on the Internet. The Reinhardt/Blackjack one got some good comments, so let's see what happens with this one! The picture is of a new Rob Simonich "kukri" which is posted on the Hood's Woods Survival Forum. It is more of a knife with a forward curve, more along the lines of the Ken Onion "kukuri" that was posted in the general forum here a month or so ago. It is A-2 tool steel with a differential hardening. Seems pretty cool, but not a khukuri in our sense of the word, I would think. It would be a cool knife for people who want a knife that chops and is better suited to finer camp work. It's also made by Rob Simonich, so you know the product is outstanding! Anyway, take a look and let's see what comments crop up!

Sort of Cobalt Special (without Cho)! A nice looking knife ... I like that sort of creativity.

NEPAL HO!
