Well guys I am in love with my kershaw plain edge R.A.M. i cut myself twice on it :o LOL.

Anyways I am already looking at another knife:eek:. I have been thinking about the spyderco native, delica and endura.

I just found the endura 4 serrated edge in green foliage handle frn for less than $40 shipped. That price seems amazing and too hard to pass up but my question to you guys is,

would you rather spend $10 to $15 more on a plain edge (eventhough my ram is plain) and in black?

How is spyderco fully serrated edge? Again, i mainly use my knives for edc like opening mail, cutting loose string, opening packages etc.

Greetings letsgo: It appears that most knife nuts, myself included, prefer a plain edge for all but specialized applications. If you check out several online web vendors you may observe that the plain edge versions of most knives sell out first. The serrated or combo edges often remain in stock until they are sold at clearance prices. It would seem that many casual knife users and those prone to neglect sharpening prefer the serrated edges. Some true blade aficionados do however like them. One attribute of this edge is that even after dulling, it can eventually SAW through many materials. The Spyderco serrations are IMO the best of this type and the easiest to resharpen. OldDude1

I can't put it any better than OldDude did. SE knives are great for certain tasks, such as cutting fiberous vines, nylon rope and such, but for most everyday tasks a PE is superior, IMO.

Ok thanks guys.

i will save my money for a plain edge delica, native or endura.

Or I'll get a byrd meadowlark or crow for cheap ;)

You have an email waiting for you about your RAM, letsgo. ;)

+1 on what the others said, get a PE.

Delica imo would be best for your edc tasks. Endura I like, but will say it is a bit big for the used you listed.

I liked the Native alot, but after having my CF Native and Sage 1-2 it doesn't compare. Although for the price point it is excellent.
