here's my recently finished blade for a christmas present. 440c hand rubbed blade, flat ground. ironwood handles, and nickle silver rivets and bolsters.

It doesn't show up for me either.
Your other picture doesn't show up for me either. The skinner pic. Hey Steve can you see the skinner pic?

You need to resize that rascal, the pics are way to big, I usually use Photoshop and reduce the width so it's about 2.5" and it fits on the screen much better. Also I'd edit the surrounding area and limit the picture to just the knife to make the loading faster and easier.

Otherwise nice knife! like the ironwood as well.

Not kingwood, I've used Tulipwood and that's very pretty stuff!

OK, I get the picture now. Love the style of blade on that knife.

I've used Kingwood on a number of knives in the past. Some of it can be really nice.
Steve

Magnum, you're doing some fine work for someone so young, keep at it. Have you ever tried Purple Heart wood? It's neat stuff and if you scorch it just before the final polish and sealer, it becomes a dark deep purple color that really enhances a knifes appearence. Just be sure and use a mask when you work it, the sawdust is nasty on the lungs.

so far the kingwood is really nice stuff.
one of my brothers favorite woods is purple heart, i'm using it for a tanto i'm making with a wooden sheath.

Magnum, I've got a piece of clear purple heart 40"X 1" X 1.5", I can cut off enough for a matching handle and sheath if you need it....let me know. The stuff is about 6 years cured and prime.

Looking good Brian, I liked those blades, good design. Hey guys, I have been heat treating magnum's blades and the improvement from one batch to the next is great. Keep up the good work Brian!

Magnum,

Great knife
I love working with king wood. It smells fantastic. One thing you might do-- as oily as it is, or any oily wood, I usually wipe it with acitone before I glue it on. It really helps adhere. King Wood takes a great polish. Steel wool it before you oil it or finish it. I've made several knives out of King Wood they look great.

thanks john, i like tradition wood finishes, and i always steel wool with fine steel wool.
i heard wiping it down with laquer thinner works too, plus it's not as dangerous as acetone.
thanks l-6, it's pretty sharp and it's gonna make one heck of a christmas gift.
