Another Laconico fixed blade

Fixed blades from Ray Laconico are as rare as hen's teeth these days (before he really got into folders, I got a total of five fixed blades from him, which have been posted in this forum more than once). But getting him to make a fixed blade these days is pretty hard. He likes folders more, and also can make more money making folders.

My mother wanted to give something nice to my father for Christmas, so this was commissioned:



Blade is just over 3.5" D2. Scales are honduran rosewood from a big plank that I have.

That looks like a great fixed blade to carry for all around use, the rosewood has excellent figure and the D2 is a great hard use steel. What a great present.

Seeing as how we are going on 3 months past Christmas...what did your father say!?
