Or at least make sure it's the last ingredient listed so as to be the smallest amount possible.
Petrolatum sure isn't good for leather products, but I'm not sure how it would affect other organic substances.
I speak from experience with petrolatum and leather products. I discovered as a kid, before I learned better, that using petrolatum on leather is Not better than nothing.:o :(

I knew that for mineral oil.

I got distracted by the other words.

Forgot petrolatum is basically just the thick relative of mineral oil.

Have to watch for that.
 
By the way, I didn't come up with the suggestion for getting pure lanolin from the pharmacy from a product for nursing mothers, someone else did. I just don't remember who. If you're aoout there and reading this, speak up and take your well deserved bow now!
 
I too believe it was MauiRob. However, I would be more than willing to take credit for it. :D
