I just thought it might be easier AND faster to upload pictures to Photopoint instead of my website host. HMMMMMMMMM hard to tell!!
<A HREF="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1210918&a=8938461&p=29242158[/img" TARGET=_blank> This is one of the first LiteWaves that I put handle material on. It felt SOOOO good in the hand, I came up with a new knife based this one. It will be called the Hooligan!! Instead of the blade holes, it will have higher grind lines and a false edge. It will also be slightly larger, 4" blade.
Pictures soon!!!!!

THANKS!!!!!
I've calmed down now

I have my website uploading all figured out now so I'll be OK. Ever since Dogman (Bob Doggett) did the great job on my website, it has sort of forced me to become more website/computer/HTML/MS Frontpage literate!! It's WELL worth it though

Thanks Barry and Louis,
I've given some thought FOLDER based on the model pictured above. It's an idea I've had for quite a while!!!
I've tried to draw it several times and have had to make too many changes to make everything fit.

It's amazing how many dead ends I come to on the drawing board!!!

Do you have a scale drawing of that knife? I've been wanting to try and convert a fixed blade design into a folder, but none of my own designs are good enough to warrant the extra effort.

Niel,
Are you really going to make a folder based on your Lite Wave? How big is it going to be? That would be one awesome knife.

JB, Shawn,
The LiteWave folder is still very much an IDEA!! I thought it would look wild. Because it's "neck knife" size", 3.5" blade, a folder version would not be TOO big.
I'm still very involved with setting up my shop. As a machinist, I don't even want to think about producing folders to sell, until I have a GOOD, accurate, milling machine and surface grinder to use. This is in the works. I applaud those makers that do it all by hand and and with a drill press, that's just NOT ME!! Most of the precision work on the folders I make now is done at my full time job. They are just prototypes of designs I'm trying to develope in my SPARE time!! My goal is to start offering folders next year. My first models will probably be small frame locks with some WILD looking pivot screws. I have to live up to my DR. LATHE title

Larger, tactical folders will be farther down the road.
JB,
I don't have drawings of any of my knives. Once I get the design finalized on paper, I glue the paper to some aluminum stock and make a patern that I can hold and further evaluate. Once the flat patern feels and looks right I do one in steel.
I would be glad to send you one of my LiteWave paterns if you would like to work with it. I have several paterns of the same knife with slight differences in handle length and shape. E mail me on this if you like.
I do appreciate the interest!
Neil

Hehe. I'm going to do the same thing with one of my designs that I think might possibly be passable. I'm going to photocopy my drawing, though, so I can keep the original. I hear what you're saying about getting a decent mill. It would be pretty bad to make sub-par knives and get a reputation for that, when it could be fixed simply.

I'll send off an email sometime soon.
