Hey everybody! Thought id share some photos and my thoughts about the pork chop after using her quite a bit. What beauties these things are, All of them!

I like how thick it is, feels super solid in hand.

The coffin shaped handle feels great, like it would fit any hand. Makes me want a battle shark lol.

I didn't get any photos of it but I de limbed 3 small christmas trees that I had to remove from my property. It blew right through them. I also made a crap ton of kindling. I got hooked and started filling up home depot buckets once my kindling store got filled lol. Gunna give those away to people I know that use wood stoves to heat their homes during the winter.

Then it was time to try my hand at making a sheath for this bad boy. So I came up with this monstrosity.

I had these case catches/latches sitting around from another project I never brought to fruition. They seem to be working out just fine.

Then like a Doofuss! I wanted to see how sturdy my creation was lol ( Keep im mind Cedar is a soft wood, I should of! ). So I whacked the butt of the Chop a few times on a stump...nothing broke...but It mushroomed out the wood a bit on the inside where the spine touches the sheath. There is a bit more wiggle in the Monstrosity now but the Hatchet isn't going anywhere.

Ha! That is pretty good. I'm sure I have the same flannel print. And man, that's a lot of wood!

Killer cool thread! Awesome pics!!

Jerry

That is an awesome sheath!

Elated :) Thank you so much for saying that!

To Aias, Man if you think that's a lot of wood take a look at this lol. Almost 2 years ago I had to have two massive trees removed from the front of my yard. One was quite Ill and there was a chance if a bad windstorm hit it could of fallen on my house. And the other one, the previous owner had tied a metal cable around it which choked the top half of it. So with the help of a 20+ ton gass log spliter I split it all up and made two Holz Hausen's. I don't heat my house solely with wood but I love having fires during the winter to even out the heating bill...and come on..who doesn't like having fires during the winter.

This one has a TON on Western red Cedar in the middle of it...one tree was a douglas fir and the other Cedar.

This is a pic of the second one after a year of seasoning...It was time to break into her and start tearing it down to burn. It's completely gone now. But the first one is still standing strong, not one piece of wood has fallen.

That's one of the most fancy and yet practical firewood stacking I've yet to see in a loooong time! Love it! And now I'm even more curious about that Busse Axe.

LadyEarth, Thank you for the kind comments!. The Holz Housen's are also fun to build too! I like to cover the top with a tarp during the winter, and let them breathe during the summer.

I just had to get one of these axes. Busse doesn't come out with axes very often and id wanted one for a loooonggg time. I really wanted to see what the Maroon Canvas looked like aswell. I love it, very unique. If you have a question about it, let me know!
