Hey everybody! Thought id share some photos and my thoughts about the pork chop after using her quite a bit. What beauties these things are, All of them!
I like how thick it is, feels super solid in hand.
The coffin shaped handle feels great, like it would fit any hand. Makes me want a battle shark lol.
I didn't get any photos of it but I de limbed 3 small christmas trees that I had to remove from my property. It blew right through them. I also made a crap ton of kindling. I got hooked and started filling up home depot buckets once my kindling store got filled lol. Gunna give those away to people I know that use wood stoves to heat their homes during the winter.
Then it was time to try my hand at making a sheath for this bad boy. So I came up with this monstrosity.
I had these case catches/latches sitting around from another project I never brought to fruition. They seem to be working out just fine.
Then like a Doofuss! I wanted to see how sturdy my creation was lol ( Keep im mind Cedar is a soft wood, I should of!
). So I whacked the butt of the Chop a few times on a stump...nothing broke...but It mushroomed out the wood a bit on the inside where the spine touches the sheath. There is a bit more wiggle in the Monstrosity now but the Hatchet isn't going anywhere.
Loves me some Paracord
hope you enjoy, as I always enjoy looking at all the pics/vids/creations everyone on here shares...This place is definitely where A LOT of my inspiration comes from to do stuff like this.
Have a good one
