In keeping with the spirit of not hijacking Pyg's thread on how mods may/not affect the value of Busse wares, but having a corollary comment to make with a couple pics to go along....

Ya mean this 0.1" maximum thickness, double-edge modded Basic 7 fighter is no longer worth the $200 I got in it?

Well, dang!!! :grumpy:

;) :D

I think that the after-market mods to this SH probably added a little to the value of the knife.

Who did the mods on those?

The FSH mod looks like something Reese would do  It is very beautiful by the way!

Whoa...never seen that last one!

Tell us a little about it please.

Holy (profanity) that FSH is nice. I have a user SH-E on the way as Mod fodder and that gives me something to shoot for although i don't have a hope in hell of being that good.
Love the Basic as well. I would pay full retail anyway for something like the Basic.
I would pay pretty much anything for the Steel heart.

I concur!!

Me too... Unfortunately, it's not mine and I've not laid eyes on it in person. Somehow the attribution I have for it is Tony Palmieri, although IIRC someone here on the Busse forum was the original owner. Also, I believed it has changed hands at least once since the engraving and mastadon scales were added.

That SH is old school, well before the Fusion Series hit the deck. So that started life as a SH-E.

'Ducci, I'd send ya the Basic, but you'd just turn it into a Resiprene-C handled mini-GW and a pile o' INFI dust under yer grinder. We know how you are... ;) :D

p.s. Bad Mojo says the SH was RonyBear's.

I'd like to know who modded that SHe. That thing is stellar. Would love to get one of my NO's done like that.

That was my Steel Heart E and Reese Weiland did the mods. Absolutely unbelieveable work. But I have been saying that for years!!! He is working on something special for me now. I don't recall who I sold that SH-E too. Maybe they will respond. Here is a couple more photos of it.

ACtually, I remember seeing that on his website now. D'oh! He's down here in Florida, so maybe I'll give him a call about a few things.

That is truly something special. My first SH-E and second Busse should be here tomorrow
and it is a user I plan to polish and restore so seeing something like that is a real treat.
I would like to see more Busses done up like traditional bowies.
