Ok so I already know it's half tang, but what exactly is it's shape? Is it possible to see a pic of the blade without the handle? Or at least a scetch?

-thanks in advance :)

Hi Narcyz. The tang is notched, the handle is injected onto the tang. We've never had one come off or break.

thank you for your input mr. glesser. the thing is i do want the handle to come of as i would like to replace the original grips with self-made ones :) a simple scetch of the tang really would help.

Imagination on your part will work much faster than my putting up a pic of a sketch. (I'm still computer challenged).

A straight piece of steel coming out of the middle of the blade about half way the length of the FRN handle. The piece is 3mm thick, radiused on the end, about 1/2" wide, with a half round notch cut out of the top and another 1/2 round notch cut out of the bottom about 1-1/2" from the notch on the top.

The original model that Moran made was carved wood. I wouldn't change the pattern.

hope that helps.

thank you very much, now everything seems clear. and may i say it's a great pleasure to deal witch a company like spyderco (as you've probably already heard times and times again).
