I know you guys are sick and tired of me posting my work but I can't help it. This is one I just finished up. 4 3/8" W-2 blade, yes wrought iron fittings, and a elk tip handle. 9" total. Kind of borring, did I mention I've been sleeping in the shop.......

Ray, I guess you have been sleeping in the new shop. Your really p'ing me off, now you got three done and I have even got my pig sticker done.
I love the hammond line on it.

Thanks. My pig sticker will be done tomorrow, if I have to sleep in my shop. :grumpy: It is the first one with WI fittings too. :D

IG, I'm looking forward to seeing your pig sticker. I'm having a cow slaughter in a week, how about an utter for a sheath?

I don't know about that, unless you plan on showing your feminine side.  :D

Thats a dandy Ray. I don't ever get tired of seeing your work, great fit & finish, file work and harmon. The sheath is excellent also.

Raymond,

That is a beautiful Nessmuk blade, I really love that style of knife. I have been a big Nessmuk fan for years.

Yeah, me too! You talking about the outdoor writer that used the Nessmuk pen name, after his real Indian mentor? Ray, that's beautiful work! Tired of seeing your work? Not ever, Ray!

Thought I'd posted my enthusiasm too, but I guess not. Raymond that's one of my favorite knives, I never get tired of seeing how people build them. Have you thought about making a Nessmuk camp axe? A double bit axe, on one side the bit is angled a bit more steep than the other; the steeper one for heavy chopping, the fine side for lighter work. The one I've seen, the whole blade is about 4" wide, each cutting edge about 2". Small enough to carry around and big enough to do some actual work. It'd make a fine compliment to this beauty.

Dave, I just woke up and don't quite understand what your saying. If you can send me a drawing or a picture I'd like to see it. Did get a good nights sleep for a change.

I may be posting another knife this week and I really do appreciate the comments on this knife. I'm thinking of doing several sizes of this style blade. Maybe something as large as 9 or 10".

Raymond I'll do that. If I can't find someplace to scan the drawing, when I get it done I'll mail it to you if that works for you. I have an ulterior motive: I want one. ;)

I like that one! I'm not a fan of the nessmuk blades, but I really dig that one.

:)

ray that's a nice looking Knife and sheath ;)
sleeping in the shop, now that's an idea the easy chair in the leather room
