I was looking at picking up a new knife, I was looking at several choices the Becker BK2, ESEE-5 and 6. After researching online and countless youtube videos I couldn't make up my mind. As I understood both companies made great knives. I knew which ever one I picked would perform in its intended purpose.
So In the end what made up my mind was the look of the BK2... not the stock out of the box look, but that custom look that made it personal, Made it "your" knife.
I got on amazon, placed my order for the BK2, a set of micarta handles and a tek lock. The BK2 and tek lock arrived in a couple of days but the micarta handles shipped from a separate dealer but are in route.
I havent used the BK2 yet, wasnt quite ready to get 'er dirty... but from handling it, I like the feel and weight. It came out of the box with and edge sharp enough to shave my arm....3 days later of repeated removing and inserting into sheath it still shaving sharp. Looking into the sheath there seems to be minimal contact on the edge side of the inner sheath.
Well, I look forward to reading the posts here, the forum looks like its filled with good info and good pics, both of knives and good scenery.
