I met a local maker at the Knife Expo show back in February who had some great looking knives on his table. His name is Marcus Clinco and he's in Venice CA. We talked knives for a good long while and I ended up taking one of his business cards. I emailed him a drawing and just about two months later I got it. It was just as I described and I like it a lot. It's a 4" blade and O1 steel, nice chunky Micarta handle too.

I've been using it for a while now, and it's starting a nice patina

...yes, I have a problem! I do have one more coming, then that's it for knives for a long while!

dude that is a cool knife... i like it.. of course...:o

he's a cali. maker...:)

Just had it a couple weeks. I've been using it a lot in the kitchen, and it works great. Really shows you how a knife will do a lot of field stuff, plus it's easy to walk into the kitchen and play with knives :D I usually leave the juice and whatever on it for a while too, speed up the patina.

I used the Kephart style as my pattern, I really like that basic shape. Then I added my own tweaks from there. But I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Admitting you have the problem is your first step.

Nice knife T. I like the spear point blade. Looks simple, tough, and ready for use.

Sweet blade! I love me a fat-bellied, wide body blade....mmm mmm mmm. However, to be a sore thumb, it looks an awfully lot like a Charles May (of Aberdeen, MS) designed knife. It seems that all great knife minds think alike!! :D

Ok..I resisted as long as I could from clicking on this thread and adding a comment....Looks great T... I love the overall design and the handle looks pretty comfy

tknife, it's really disturbing how similar our tastes in knives are. I've got to stop opening your threads...

Man you have some great knives, if you didn't seem such a nice guy I'd probably hate you !!!:D

Nice! It kind of reminds me of a cross between the work of Charles May and NWA.

Those came to mind when I was trying to draw it. I sketch out all kinds of knives when I'm bored, and they reflect things I like from the makers work I like  But I need to stop doing it because then I want to have them made!
