Hi guys, As someone who is very new to collecting I've got a million questions, but will take them one at a time so as not to get brain lock from too much info.. I've started by buying a couple of knives from a well known online shop($1500&$2200), there was no haggling on price, one was a custom order. When you go to one of these online retailers is it customary to pay the full price quoted, or is there room to bargain? I don't want to be pushy, but also don't want to be a sap. I understand that a custom piece is different, but are the in house items open to debate on pricing? Thanks for all input. Hawk

I don't buy many knives from on-line dealers these days but have in the past. Not saying it's not a good way to aquire custom knives, in fact, it's an especially good way for someone who's just starting out.
I have received and/or been offered modest discounts from three dealers who I consider to be the majors, so yes it happens. The higher the price range the more likely a dealer to offer a discount.
Hope this helps.
