I've been a long time lurker with a few posts here and there. I have really learned most of my knife related stuff from this forum so I figured it was about time I started posting and adding what I can. Becker and Kabar knives are by far my favorite knives. Right now I have a 2, 9, 13, 16, and a 24 with the 16 being my favorite. I would love to get more so I'm sure that number will expand!

Anyway thanks for all the knowledge here! I have really benefited from it! Oh and Hi!:)

Nice to meet you sir! Post some pics of those Beckers in action!

I'm also new. This is my first post in fact! I've been a lurker and learned a lot from here, I apparently made an account back in June, but forgot about it until today when I tried to register because I just got my Bk 16 today, and i love it. I put the brown scales on. I only live an hour outside of Olean so I felt kind of dumb when i ordered it from Amazon, but whatever.

Welcome:)
Sees you have a pretty respectable family allready.

May i suggest a 5 or 15 for your next purchase. Since you have the choppers and carvers in order you need some slicey magic

I'm gonna have to pull some OT and buy me a BK5 just to see what all the hoopla is about. I started a thread to get guys to try and convince me to get a BK7 and most of the replies were to the effect of "Eff that, get a 5!"

Well, i suppose it's because the 7 is more of an allaround blade. It chops and batons well but not as well as a 9 and it, it does finer work well but not as well as a 10. The 5 and 15 on the other hand has that blade shape that just allows you to slice stuff up in a whole different way.
Think of it as a broadsword vs katana kind of thing. They're both great in their own way, but A1P allready has 4 drop points and a bowie. So a pure slicer gets a natural spot in there ;)

Welcome!

You've picked the right forums, I've only recently joined and started posting and I've already learned so much!

Welcome!!
Seems You already have a nice line up of Becker blades in your collection.
It only gets worse. Lol

Finally some pics. These are the only ones I have right now. I need to start taking more! (Hopefully these work)
