I'll make an effort to be as brief, yet informative as I can!
Pretty much an old fart rapidly approaching 60 and have had a knife (knives) for 51 of those years. Started with the usual BSA folder and a fixed blade w/sheath with which I carved my initials into about 1,000 trees in my town. Upon maturing from vandalizing trees I generally carried some sort of knife, usually of the SAK variety ,for many years. I never stopped to appreciate them, simply took them for granted.
For the past years I have been involved with many watch (another and more consuming interest for a long time) fora and am still active in a few. A few months ago as I was looking to replace yet another "misplaced" SAK I looked online and saw a whole lot of options. So I figured one of each would work. Yeah-it's a bit obsessive but a lot of fun. So I got a Mini-grip and a Spyderco Sage CF to see what lay beyond the humble SAKs and was hooked. A few Cases and Kershaws (a favorite) later and here I am. (Still got another, actually 2,SAKs to replace the "misplaced one)
I hope to learn ,and make a few acquaintences ,in my time here. Got a day off tomorrow and will take some pics of some of my stuff, which pales by comparison to what I see here.
Thanks in advance for putting up with me.
