Well, I've been lurking here for awhile but haven't posted anything up until now. I've had an on-again, off-again, on-again fascination with knives for quite a long time. Oddly enough, I didn't start carrying a knife regularly until about three years ago. How in the world I ever got by without a knife in my pocket is beyond me at this point.
I always have at least one with me anymore. I was carrying a Vic Executive and a BM mini-Grip for a while. I just switched back to a Vic Classic on my key ring and a Case Peanut. I wanted to try a different knife in place of the mini-Grip and was looking at a ZT 300, but after handling a friends 302 I decided that I didn't want to be hauling that around with me all of the time. So, I thought that I would try something on the lower end of the price scale. I was looking at a bunch of different stuff, but found I kind of liked the Buck Vantage series.
Well, I was all set to buy a Vantage Select this evening at Bass Pro, but another customer interrupted me and the sales guy, so, I left and went to the Bass Pro outlet. It's a good thing, too. They had three Buck Vantage Pros in the case for $20 each. I bought two of them. I went back about an hour and a half later to get the third, but it was gone.
So, that's my EDC stuff at this point - a Vic Classic on the key ring, a Case Peanut in the left front pocket and a Buck Vantage Pro in the right rear pocket (or inside the waistband). I also have a S&W 642 in my right pocket just for grins.
I do have to say that I have enjoyed reading threads here. You guys seem to have a lot of fun. I also stop in at a popular gun forum and they are much more tightly wound over there. I also frequent a Precious Metals forum and some of those guys have an endless supply of tinfoil hats.
Anyway, good to be here.
