So after seeing a friends super built bagger, I got to thinking. Dangerous stuff, that thinking. Decided I wanted something to haul the OL on and not beat the both of us to death. First day I started looking, I found this- 1993 FXRS-SP (Low Rider Sport) Original owner, aftermarket carb and exhaust (Mikuni flatside and V&H) Andrews cam, chain final conversion, mini apes, new brakes and skins, backrest, lay down plate etc etc. The thing is clean enough to eat off of and I got it for $5500 "out the garage".
Very comfy and with it being geared for the highway- less than 3k at 65mph(2800). Almost lugging it at that speed- 85-90 all day right over 4k. Gotta love it.

Nice ride. But if you take a woman along, yer going to need big hard bags and a trunk (and maybe a trailer, too). They generally like to take lots of "stuff" with them.

She gets ONE saddle bag. If it doesn't fit- it doesn't go. She's been around bikes her whole life and understands this pretty well.;)
I bet she likes that seat better than a suction cup pad on the rear fender.;)
Yes she does- not sure if that's a good thing as now she wants to go with me a lot.:(:D

Reminds me.... I once followed a young lad and his girlfriend who were riding a "hardtail" chopper. In addition to no rear suspension, the poor girl was on one of those little "pillion" saddles that was smaller than the one on my bicycle.
He had thoughtfully given her a helmet...A WWII German model (chrome plated, of course) which was bouncing up and down about two inches more than the amount her body was bouncing on the two-lane asphalt road we were on.
I fear that relationship did not last....
