This one was for a fellow forumite.

I still haven't figured out a name for this one. If you've got a name for it let me hear it! For my neck/belt type knives I've been trying to stay with insect type names such as Hornet, Stinger, Buzztail.

Specs:
Steel: BG42 Mirror Finish - My first knife in BG42
Blade Length: 3"
OAL: 6 7/8"
Sheath: Concealex - Carbon Fibre Pattern

Although you can't see it in the pics there is serrations on the spine around the paracord for extra grip.

Thanks for looking,
Sean

They look like some handy blades to me.

A small one could be a Tick or Flea, a medium size could be a Killer Bee.

I like it. Looks like something I have in mind myself, so don't be surprised if I show up with a knife looking similar(yet different).

How do you like working with the BG42? Pretty good stuff, eh?

Thanks guys.

The Splinter!!! That's a cool name! I think we've got a winner. Thanks man!

That small one is frickin' awsome!
The bigger one ain't too shabby either.

Thanks guys. Ya I think it's a great little utility or backup knife as well.

Danbo - I agree BG42 is nice steel to work with. I'm going to use it for some of my other knives soon.

Thanks everyone. I've been very pleased with this knife design. The forumite who ordered it just emailed me tonight and is very happy with the knife!

I always stress a little until I hear from the recipient that they are happy.

Looks great! Very clean design! You know, though, looking at the pics, I thought that the cropped photos were a second knife, with a really short handle. Any chance of doing something really tiny like that, maybe with a deeper finger notch in the choil?

Thanks.

I'll have to think about doing a smaller knife. I've got alot in the works right now but once the dust settles I'll try to take a look at a little companion type knife for this one.
