I'm starting to get hooked on the oldies as long as they are in nice shape. Here's another recent aquisition that I've pretty much pinned down as a Fifth Version Variation 1. I don't see how it could be anything else. That's the only one with the stainless spacer before the three lines came out as best I can tell. This one was a gift from a great friend.

Nice knife and good friend . Thanks for the photos . Some nice light brown wood there . DM

Thats a nice one Dave. The old ones do have a look to them...

Once again, I learned something new today. I didn't know they had a stainless spacer on the old ones. I wonder why they changed ?

Buck still utilizes a stainless spacer and lockbar in the 110's of today . DM

Geez David, I'm battin 1000 today aren't I ? :D

To make matters worse, I had my -110- out a little earlier looking at it

I think maybe its time to back off the pain meds, and quit while I'm behind :D I went back and re-read plumbers original post, and now understand what he was saying about the spacer.

Off beat a little I could handle, but this seems to be extreme :D

Thankfully,I think this is the last day I'll need the meds
