Just got a BK11 to go with the 2 and 7. Could not be happier. Well that is not exactly true. I would kill for an extra 1/2 inch of length on the handle but I kinda figured it would feel a bit short when I ordered it. Still, it is a great knife. Sharp as heck and ready for some work. Figured I would post up a pic or two before it lost it's pretty face.

This might be one that I might strip and blue or patina. Haven't decided yet but I think it will be getting some micarta. Thanks again Ethan for a great knife!!!!

1/2 inch more on the handle? Sounds like you needed an Eskabar. :) That's why I bought the BK14.

Nice knives though, man. Looks like I'm going to have to buy another Becker very, very soon.
 
I thought about that but I already have a Izulu and really wanted that bottle opener. I probably have 5 different kinds of beer in the frig right now and not a one of them twist off. I'm sure I'll live without the handle length. I knew what I was getting. I can say that the knife did not come as sharp as the Izulu but hopefully (and that's a broad comment since my sharpening skills suck) I can take care of that with a little work on the sharpmaker. Taking this one to work today. Damn I hate working the weekend. :)
 
My first Becker was the 11, started out with a cord wrap handle, and neck carry. I now have the micarta handles, upgraded to stainless hardware (summer time sweat was making some rust). Now I have been carring it scout/cross draw style, using para cord and attached to my belt sideways above my left pocket. I'm really digging this way of carring it. I think its a great blade, along with my 2, 9, and my 10.

I have often wondered why Mr. Becker has never extended the handle. In images I have seen around here with him he frequently has one on him; also, I don't think I've heard of anyone who enjoys the current length. I love the look and the feel but an extra 1/4 to 1/2 inch would be perfect. He's a well thought out gentleman, especially with his handles. Just thoughts I've been thinking. As I said love my 11.

I agree 100%. I will carry and enjoy it no matter what but just a bit more handle length could make this knife perfect. This is just my opinion of course and I am certainly not griping. At some point I might even try to put a little spine jimping on it for better grip but I am pretty happy with it as is for now.
 
I have looked at the BK11 and the BK14, but I just cannot see the need for them since the Izula has seen so much pocket time. Seeing so many people like the BK11 and 14 makes me think I should get one of them eventually to see if it can knock the Izula out of my pocket.
