A while back, I got my first yellow Mini Grip. An early 556 with a 440C blade. I never gave the color much thought, but after getting it, I decided I like it.
So, I went to KnifeWorks to order a yellow Ritter, and they were sold out. They were there the night before, but I was tired so I went to bed, with the though I would buy one in the morning... The yellow Ritters have been discontinued.
Anyway, I posted up a WTB for a yellow Ritter Mini, and another member was kind enough to offer me his. It arrived today, but we forgot to check the mail until just a little while ago.
I took a few pictures inside because I couldn't wait until tomorrow. The pictures don't do it any justice. Thanks again Hank

Here is the trouble maker that started my quest for a yellow Ritter...

Here is the first Ritter Mini that was added to the stable a couple months ago...

Thanks. Feelin the need to add a new orange Ritter Mini too :D Who knows, maybe even finally break down and buy some Wilkins grips. I really like them, I just have a hard time justifying the price.

nice start to your collection. that bit has seen better days though.:p

Thanks. I have 4 others that I didn't bother posting pics of :D These Minis are addictive.
Yes, that bit has been around the block a few times. It hasn't been used in probably 20 years, and was relegated to decorative status, but I can't bring myself to toss it. Sitting here and looking out the window, I can see one of my ropes I used when I was still team roping.
I picked it up awhile back, just to see if I could still do it. Yep, just like riding a bike...

I saw your listing about wanting a mini ritter in yellow and I thought about contacting you for a moment....then I came back to my senses.

LOL... Thanks for the thought, but I don't blame you :D

Good score Mike. The Mini Grip is one of my favorite knives. I might end up getting myself an M390 Mini Ritter soon.

Thanks Charlie. It's funny, out of all the various models of BM's I have owned over the years, the Mini Grip is still my favorite.
I'm thinking the member that has an issue with his M390 Ritter is probably an isolated issue. At least I hope it is :D I thought about seeing if he was interested, and I would offer mine up, and he could use his waterstones on it, to see if it does it as well.

It is odd that the blade shape has changed a little on the M390 versions. Comparing my yellow S30V to my M390, there is definitely a difference. It seems even Doug Ritter is a little perplexed about the variation. Definitely not a deal breaker though :D

I agree with the isolated issue aspect. As I had previously mentioned, I bought a TSEK in M390 a few years back when they were being sold and I used it for about 5-6 months every day. Factory edge was excellent, in fact, the blade fell on onto the back of my fingers and it made a very clean and deep cut with only the weight of the blade. If the steel has been fubar'd, we would have read dozens of threads on it by now I'd guess. Only one way to find out though ;)

Nice I like the color combo

Thanks. Something a little different. Shouldn't be hard to see if I set it down and forget where I put it :D

I like the TSEK knives. I'm thinking it would be hard to argue that knife was sharp :D I agree. People are very quick to jump onto a potential issue, and beat it to death, and so far only one person has posted an issue. The grind on mine is very even, and it has a decent edge. It could be better, but I will probably use it the way it came as a test.
I'll be looking for pictures of your new Ritter :D

Very nice color combo, Ritter is my personal favorite among the Griptilian series due to the blade shape (and Mr. Ritter is a great guy).

Very nice indeed!
Is that handle yellow "coated" or yellow throughout?

Thanks. It should be molded. From what I have read over on the BM forum, the early 440C versions were coated, and everything after was molded in color.

Thanks. I too like the blade shape. Yes he is a great guy. He does a lot for the industry, and for knife owners
