This one I am quite excited about. I've seen others around here praise their SHSH's. Up comes a user cheap. How can I resist. Given the reaction I got from my GF, maybe I should have. Nahh! Live dangerously (testosterone section of post now finished).

Here it is!

It's seen better days, but hey I want to chop! Here's a comparison shot with my Ergo.

I was told it was INFI, but after going to the usual places I have my doubts. Can you give me a hand? It appears to be an "almost fatty." It measures 0.297" at the ricasso. It has slotted bolts and the smooth finish. The spine is also polished in the handle area. The sheath is factory, I think, and is full-on kydex. Is it A2 or INFI? Can it be determined conclusively or is it just a guess? Here's another comparison pic.

Thanks for the help.

p.s. It's gonna need need some comfortable clothes Dwayne!

Cheers,

Early SHSH's made from INFI did sport some slotted screws with both smooth Micarta and coating.
So it could be INFI, with the only way to be sure is to either risk letting Porkerson smell it, or sending it to the shop and having Jerry Test it. (much safer) :D

Thats unfortunate that you got stuck with one of those old wore out Busse's. Lucky for you I am what is called a giver :D & I will take that nasty old thing off of your hands & use it for a door stop or something. what will I give you? you ask, your choice of a sheath or a holster :D No No thanks are needed just trying help a fellow Busse Buddy out.:)

NIce find BJB, an oldie that's a user as well. You can always send it in for a refurb when you are done showing it some more tough love.

BJB

I have one exactly like it and was assured it was infi (by someone who should know). Look at the grinds on both. A2 usually has a vertical grind line and infi is curved. Both of those are curved. Also. it is a fatty, the next thinner stock used is .27 and you lose a few .00's in grinding, polishing. Unless it's .27 with a REALLY thick coat. :D ;) BTW I've seen that also. Not a smooth coat per se, almost like a rubber type of coat. One was a knife from Germany, so it may be a European thing.

Anyway, nice scoop! YOU SUCK!!!! :D (wish I had something interesting to trade)
