Good evening, folks!

Just wanted to stop in and say Hi! I've lurked here for 18 months now and have found this forum to be an incredible knife resource. Thanks to you, I am able to evaluate my prospective knife 'buys' in advance and -- hopefully -- make more intelligent decisions!

Still will probably use the forum mostly for my ongoing knife education, but I did want to de-lurk, sign up, and personally Thank You All! :)

Welcome to BF, glad to have you aboard.

There is much to be learned about knives here, but it's not all knife - talk. If you've been lurking for 18 months, I'm sure you've seen the Community Center and Whine & Cheese forums. If you haven't, well, do yourself a favor and check 'em out.

Welcome aboard.
P.S.
Could please explain where that crazy name comes from?
Panther Squall......
Sounds like Rudyard Kipling meets Jack London

Welcome to bladeforums!

stick around and return us the favor by sharing some stories and knowledge. ;)

Welcome Welcome, you will learn, love and most likely be offended at some point!!!! ;) Cheers!

Wow, you lurked for 18 months, I don't think I lurked for 18 minutes when I found BFC. Of course back then if you posted twice you were eligable to win the knife of the month, after only 100 posts you was a Senior Member. It didn't mean anything, but people used to post to everything just to get to 100. Oh well, that was then and this is now.

Welcome aboard!

WoW!!! Thanks for all the welcome posts, folks! :)

I feel like I know everyone here but it just seems strange to post stuff myself?! Anyway, Best Wishes and Thanks again. See ya on the forums!

Ah yes, the name. It's just an old blues lyric by Arthur "Blind" Blake......

PANTHER SQUALL BLUES
by Blind Blake (May, 1928)

I got a sweet mama, she ain't long at all...
She's got the kind of lovin' make a panther squall.

She got Elgin movements that's twenty years guaranteed...
I bet my last dollar, she done put them jinx on me.
:D
