New to the Rat Cutlery community. Pleasure to meet you all! Have been using my trusted SRK for years, but decided to make a change. Just got myself an RC6p and an OD Izula which seemed like a well balanced duo for all-around woods work. (two fantastic knives by the way:thumbup:) I'm a corpsman (currently working in the ER) stationed in Washington state and am taking 12 days of leave to do some winter backpacking through the olympics. Will most definately post pics and feedback on this fine cutlery and on my trip upon return. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to BF and a couple of great choices on the 6 and Izula :thumbup:. Looking forward to those pics from the backpacking trip.

Welcome aboard and you chose a great combo. I use an RC4 as an edc and carry the RC6 when out in the hills. I am up in Washington as well. It is great over on the Olympics this time of year.

I see you are in Yakima. Back when I was doing telecom work a few years ago I spent some time in your town doing some stuff for CenturyTel. Great place. Actually spent a year in WA all over the place.

I'm stationed at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton which is a bit further west than Yakima. I've spent some time abroad Mt. Rainier though which is fairly close. Beautiful area. Thanks everyone for making a guy feel welcome. It's good to know I'm not the only one who's schedule revolves around time in the outdoors.
