Here is another one I did for a BF member. Thanks Marcelo Cantu, I hope you like it as much as I do.:)

Thanks again

The finish on the blade in comparison to the handle material is sweet and adds nice contrast.

I believe the finish is an acid etch to jighlight the temper line. Usually it's ferric chloride (I think) but it may even be vinegar. It creates a patina the actually helps to protect the blade from rust.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Specs are as follows. 3/16" O-1,
Flat Ground, OAL is about 8" blade length 3 1/2 " RC 58-60 Handle Scales are corian with brass hardware. Balance point is right at about your index finger. Etched in Ferric Chloride to show a hamon. The sheath is 7-8oz veg. tanned cowhide treated in hot bees wax. One nice thing about the sheath is, if it gets marked up, all that is needed to fix it, is place it in front of a source of radiant heat and when the wax comes to the surface just wipe clean and the sheath looks like new again.

Thanks

I received this knife minutes ago. What can I say other than I couldn't be more pleased with this knife Nick. This is one of the nicest custom made knives I have held. The design is very well thought out and the fit & finish is top notch, nah, flawless! I love the corian handles, they fit my hand perfectly. Thanks you very much. I am thrilled to carry this knife today.

BTW nice job on the sheath as well!!

Thanks Marcelo, And thank you for your great report. I'm very happy you like it, responses like yours really motivates me to make the next one even better.
