If anyone has any "pretty" rocks, fossils, or arrowheads they don`t want, I would like them for Hayley. I will gladly reimburse shipping costs. She loves "collecting", she spends her recess at school with the rock and mineral book I gave her that I got when I was around 7 years old. She even joined a Rock Of The Month Club, where they send her a rock every month. The other kids call her a nerd, but she could care less. On Saturday we are all going to the Kankakee River State Park for a picnic, she asked if I would hunt rocks with her.

There are far worse hobbies, at least she is not spending all her time and money on knives.....

I have a small geode that I found in the gravel they delivered when I was working on my foundation - I will get it to you - Tell Hayley and Hanna hello!

Took sam to a rock show that was going on in our town last week, I'd never seen him show so much interest in anything, I'll see if I can "dig" anything up :)

I'll get a package on the way tomorrow or Friday. It should go really well with the rock and mineral book. :)

I don't think i have any rocks, but i will now keep an eye out. i mostly just wanted to say that i think it's so cool that she continues to do what she loves to do, even in the face of ridicule. it takes guts to stand up to peer pressure. kudos to Hayley.

Karen will put some together. We get tons of cool rocks and cool shells on the coast here.

I've got an arrowhead I found in N.C. & one I made I'll send her.

This one I found while hunting on Camp Lejeune in coastal North Carolina.
It was sitting on the top of the ground in a food plot that had been recently plowed over.
I don't know what kind of rock it is,but it looks pretty old.

This one I made out of obsidian.
My brother was really into making arrowheads & spearheads so naturally I had to give it a try.

Thank you to all! While Hanna does not care for the "outdoors", Hayley is our little "nature girl", she loves hiking, and is always looking around to see what she can find. I`ve given her books on plants and birds, so she keeps her eye out for them too.

Sure I have some arrowheads I could send your way. Next time I take the bike out I could come drop them off if you would like:thumbup:
